2019 Ming Jian Organic Roasted Hong Shui Oolong
Organic Hong Shui oolong comes from a garden in Mingjian, central Taiwan. Si Ji Chun, a popular shrub species, was used to make this tea. This tea is different from most Hong Shui. The quite intense roasting process gives the tea a unique character.
Dry leaves smell like freeze-dried strawberries and butter cookies.
The brew is subtle, smooth and slightly buttery. The notes of fruit, vanilla and incense mix in it. The very low level of bitterness makes the preparation of this tea very easy.
